Governing Documents

Antelope, Filing No. 1 & 2
a subdivision of a part of Section 26 and 27
Township 5 South, Range 66 West of the
6th P.M., Arapahoe County, Colorado

The Governing Documents were put into place in 1977 in an effort to operate and manage the community of Antelope for the purposes of enhancing and preserving the property values for the community. Over time, some of the Governing Documents have been amended and restated as time and circumstances warrant.

In January of 2006, the Governing Documents Committee took on the monumental task of updating our 30-year-old covenants to: 1) add provisions to meet the Colorado Common Interest Ownership Act (CCIOA) in accordance with Titles 7 and 38 of the Colorado Revised Statues; 2) to reflect current practices; 3) to be consistent with our other governing documents; and 4) to create an organized, cohesive document.

As of February 13, 2007, over 60% of Antelope property owners consented to update the old covenants and replace it with the new 8-page document. Please take the time to read and understand your Governing Document and feel free to contact any board member or committee member with questions. As of March 5, 2021, over 60% of the Antelope property owners consented for the Declaration Amendment to remove the cap on annual assessments. Removal of the cap provides the Association the ability to increase dues to meet ongoing budgetary needs for the community.  SB100 Policies & Procedures (Resolutions)

Governor Bill Owens placed into effect 28 pages of law that impacted how associations are governed and operated and what rights owners have. All policies and procedures took full effect as of January 1, 2006. The following nine (9) resolutions are now part of the Antelope Governing Documents.

NOTE: Four of these seven SB100 policies required revision due to the passage of SB89 earlier this year and two of these policies are newly written. After owner comment and Board approval, the following documents became final as of October 6, 2006 and November 14, respectively.
